Mechanical Design Engineer
Job Description:
Full time work as an engineering technician for a specialty row-crop planter distributor and manufacturer.
Requirements:
B.S. in Ag Technology, Ag Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
0-3 years experience in the Ag Equipment industry
Experience with computer aided design/drafting
Experience with manufacturing processes (machining, fabricating, & welding)
Some travel required
Responsibilities:
Help with development of new products and development of manufacturing processes for production of new designs for Monosem planters
Produce AutoCAD and SolidWorks drawings and designs
Work with developing and testing prototype designs in a shop environment
Troubleshoot designs on machines in a field environment
Develop CAD drawings for literature and operator manuals, sales and service bulletins, and assembly instructions
Applicant will be working in the engineering department but must cooperate with many areas of a growing company including sales and marketing, purchasing, assembly and production, and service. Therefore applicant should be a good communicator, self-motivated, and able to work in a flexible management structure. A background in agriculture is preferred, but not necessary. |
