MONOSEM Inc. Congratulates Kip Cullers 2010 World Record Soybean Harvest of 160.6 bu/a October 2010: Kip Cullers of Purdy, MO set a new world record soybean yield of 160.6 bu/a. Cullers surpassed his 2007 world record yield of 154.57 bu/a. Both competition plots were put in with a 2005 Monosem NG+3 Series 8-Row Twin-Row (8x2) planter upgraded with Monosem's patented Sync-Row® timing system for precision twin row stagger adjustment. On Kip's planter the Twin-Row pairs are 9.5" apart and set on 30" centers (typical Twin-Row pairs are set to 8" on 30" or 36" centers). Cullers is known to be an innovator with his competition plots and has used a variety of combined methods to achieve his outstanding yields. Culler states "I've learned over the course of more than two decades of farming, that setting the stage for higher yield potential all starts with good genetics. From there, it's hitting the right planting date, crop management throughout the growing season and a willingness to try new things." Monosem Inc. is a precision planter manufacturer in Edwardsville, Kansas and proud to be a part of Kip's successful farm program. |
